Margret Wibmer

Using various media such as performance, video, photography, sculpture and textiles, Margret Wibmer investigates the position of the human body in relation to physical and digital environments and its meaning in the creation of knowledge. 

After spending a large part of the 1980s in New York, a period that significantly formed her life and artistic practice, she moved to Amsterdam where she is based since. Her work is included in public and private collections in Europe, the US and Japan and has been performed and exhibited internationally among others at Tokyo Garden, Japan / Bradwolff Projects, Amsterdam / Palais de Tokyo, Paris / RMIT Design Hub, Melbourne / Oude Kerk, Amsterdam / Ishikawa Nishida Kitaro Museum of Philosophy, Japan / Mode Biennale Arnhem / Galerie Lumen Travo, Amsterdam / KAI 10 – Arthena Foundation, Düsseldorf / Centro per l’Arte Contemporanea Luigi Pecci, Prato / Kunstpavillon Innsbruck / Fashion Moda Gallery, South Bronx.
